COTTON ENCOURAGES PRYOR TO SEEK A SENATE SELECT COMMITTEE ON BENGHAZI

Cotton says the Senate should follow the House’s lead to seek justice for four murdered Americans
Little Rock, Arkansas —
U.S. Senate candidate Tom Cotton is encouraging U.S. Senator Mark Pryor to call for a Senate Select Committee to investigate the Benghazi terror attacks of September 11, 2012.
The House recently voted to create a Select Committee to investigate the matter, but the Democrat-controlled Senate has yet to take action.
The Hill recently reported that when he was approached by a constituent about Benghazi, Senator Pryor responded: “I think you’ll hear more about Benghazi as we go through this next year.”
Cotton said: “The time to seek justice for the four Americans that lost their lives in Benghazi is now, not later ‘this next year,’ whatever that means. Finding answers to the unanswered questions and seeking justice for the victims of terrorist attacks should be a cause that unites us all. I hope Senator Pryor and his colleagues will join us in this effort.”
Background:
Pryor Told A Constituent In April 2014: “I Think You’ll Hear More About Benghazi As We Go Through This Next Year.” A constituent came up to Pryor to complain about President Obama, ObamaCare and Benghazi. While he was fiercely critical of the president he nodded intently when Pryor blamed “partisan gridlock” for freeing Obama’s hand on some recent executive orders because Congress couldn’t compromise on anything.”I think you’ll hear more about Benghazi as we go through this next year,” Pryor said when asked about the lightning-rod issue.
